History Hunters turns national history into a prime-time game show, as two celebrity teams go head to head to solve intriguing historical puzzles before their opponents. The series is rooted in real history and filmed at authentic locations. In each episode, guided by an expert host, the teams explore the country’s most significant historical eras, from ancient legends to modern milestones.
The format is developed and produced by Heartland TV and launched successfully on public broadcaster DR1 in November. History Hunters is currently optioned in six territories.
