In the factual entertainment format, we follow six young adults with down syndrome who embark on a journey of a lifetime. During their trip they face extraordinary challenges, find independence, love, and experience life without limits.
A second series is currently in production for The Netherlands (SBS) and a German version is set to tx on SWR this Fall. Poland (TTV/Discovery) has aired three series since 2019 and Romania (TVR) has aired a local version of the format as well.
Says Simone de Pruyssenaere, director of sales & acquisitions at Primitives: “It’s not a secret why the viewers love this heartwarming program, as the cast and their stories are authentic and relatable. This also reflects in the massive amount of positive feedback on social media after yesterday’s episode. ‘Down the Road’ is a special gem in our catalogue and I’m convinced it will have a long-lasting success”.
