Down the Road wins the first prize at the World Festival
Last Wednesday night, the series Down the Road won the first prize in the "Documentaries - Human relations and values" category at the World Media Festival in Hamburg.
The Festival honours "content" in television, film, online and print from all over the world, and is considered one of the most important international prizes. A total of 789 entries from 34 countries, incl. Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, Russia, Sweden and Greece, competed in the different categories. For the “documentaries - Human relations and values" category there were 39 entries but the jury , that consists of professionals from different media-branches choose Down the Road as the winner.
In Down the Road, Dieter Coppens goes with six young adults with Down Syndrome on a journey of a lifetime. During this trip they find independence, love and experience life without limits or labels.
